Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. This page lists every cookie DotMax uses, and the other things we save in your browser, with what each is for and how long it lasts.
In short: we only use cookies that make the Service work or remember choices you made. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not add any other company’s cookies to our website or app. That is why we do not show a cookie banner. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first.
2. Other things saved in your browser
Some features save small items in your browser’s storage instead of a cookie. They stay on your device and are not sent to us with every request. Where a name ends in …, the rest is the id of a restaurant, order, QR code or user.
| Name | Where | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
ros.cart.… | Local storage | Your basket on a QR menu, so it survives a refresh. |
ros:last-order | Local storage | Your last order number on a QR menu, so you can get back to it. |
tf-feedback-done:… | Local storage | That you already answered or closed the feedback question for an order. |
ros:qr-open:… | Session storage | Counts a QR code scan once per visit, not on every refresh. |
ros:agent-menu:… | Session storage | The menu assistant’s conversation during this visit. |
ros:guest-agent-muted | Local storage | Whether you muted the menu assistant’s voice. |
ros:guest-agent-mic:… | Local storage | Whether you turned on the menu assistant’s microphone. |
ros:guest-agent-voice-ready | Local storage | That this browser has already prepared the assistant’s voice (restaurant settings). |
ros:guest-agent-just-taught | Session storage | That a DotMax team member just taught the assistant an answer in this tab, so its voice is recorded next. |
ros:nav-recent:… | Local storage | Dashboard pages you opened recently, for quick links. |
bizdash.restaurants.savedFilters | Local storage | Filters a DotMax team member saved in the Business Dashboard. |
tfd-theme | Local storage | Light or dark look you chose on the website and live demo. |
kokoro-voices | Cache storage | Voice files for the assistant, downloaded once from our server so they need not be fetched again. |
Offline pages | Cache storage | The “you’re offline” page and public pages you visited, so the app can open without a connection. |
Session storage is cleared when you close the tab. Local storage and cache storage stay until you clear your browser’s site data.
3. Other companies
Our website and app load their fonts, scripts, images and videos from our own server. The one exception is a picture a restaurant chose to link from another website instead of uploading it, such as a dish photo: your browser then fetches that picture from the website that hosts it. Some links take you elsewhere only when you tap them, such as WhatsApp and Google Maps, and those services use their own cookies under their own policies.
If you use the menu assistant’s microphone, your browser’s own speech recognition may be provided by the browser’s maker (for example Google, in Chrome). See our Privacy Policy.
4. Your choices
- You can see and delete cookies and site data in your browser’s settings, usually under Privacy or Site settings.
- Blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in and ordering from working.
- Clearing site data signs you out, empties a QR basket and resets your preferences.
5. Changes
We update this page and its date whenever we add, change or remove a cookie.
